Origins
Park4Dis is a personal project by its founder, Carlo Castellano, created to assist the more than 15 million drivers with reduced mobility in Europe, as well as their families, in achieving autonomy and moving without additional barriers.
The project was launched in April 2019 after a European study by ACCIÓ, with initial financial support from Fundación ONCE.

Park4Dis is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined in the 2030 Agenda, aimed at ensuring a sustainable future for all. In particular, Park4Dis contributes to:
- SDG 9: Innovation to meet the challenges of future cities
- SDG 10: Reducing inequalities affecting people with disabilities
- SDG 11: Promoting inclusive cities and accessible transport
- SDG 13: Significantly reducing CO2 emissions by directing users to the closest PRM spots
- SDG 17: Building partnerships and collaborating with local, regional, and national public and private entities, as well as Public Administrations

Park4Dis includes more than 75,000 mapped PRM parking spots and is present in over 1,000 municipalities across 27 countries through collaborations and agreements with local councils and public administrations.
The platform also relies on a network of individual volunteers and corporate volunteer programs in collaboration with socially responsible companies.

Park4Dis was launched in April 2019 with the support and funding of Fundación ONCE, arising from the difficulty of locating PRM spots and the widespread lack of knowledge regarding the applicable regulations in each municipality. Park4Dis is a “cross-cutting, interurban platform for managing and accessing the location of reserved parking spots and other permitted parking for people with reduced mobility, as well as municipal regulations, in a unified, summarized, and accessible way.”
Today, more than 1,000 cities in 27 countries have joined the project, with over 75,000 PRM spots mapped. The goal is to facilitate travel for the more than 15 million users of the European disability parking card in Europe, providing greater freedom and autonomy and helping them find parking close to their destination.
